FARGO BAHA'I FAITH COMMUNITY

What Baha'is Believe...
Baha'is have 3 core beliefs:
There is only one God. God is the source of all creation and the center of devotion for all religions
The unity of religion. All major religions have the same spiritual source and share a common foundation of moral and spiritual principles.
The unity of humanity. All humanity has been created equal, considered as one family. The diversity of race and culture are seen as worthy of appreciation and acceptance.

Our History...
The Baha'i Faith is a worldwide religion that began in 1844 based on the teachings of Baha'u'llah, its Prophet -Founder. The Writings of Baha'u'llah (Arabic title meaning the Glory of God ) provide moral integrity important to personal life as well as fresh guidance for the constructive revitalization of human society. The Bahá'í Faith has spread to some 232 nations and territories and is now accepted by more than five million people. The Baha'i Writings have been translated into 802 languages involving 2112 ethnic groups.
The first Americans to become Baha'is did so in the late 1800's. In this country the Baha'i National Center was established in Wilmette, Illinois during the early part of the 20th century. Our local community here in Fargo traces back to the early 1930's!
